- Luggage delivery from Tokyo to Kyoto (one item per person.) Your baggage will be transported by land from Hakone to Kyoto on Day 5. For the overnight stay in Takayama and Kanazawa we recommend you to carry a light overnight bag with you. For extra baggage, ¥2,200 will be charged per piece.
Accommodation will be provided on Room with Meals as specified in the itinerary. An extra bed will be provided in the room for three persons sharing one room. The extra bed is often a folding bed, much inferior to the existing twin/double bed.

Tour Itinerary
Tokyo (Arrive) - Nikko - Tokyo - Mt.Fuji - Hakone - Takayama - Shirakawago - Kanazawa - Kyoto - Kansai Airport (Depart)
Day 1 - Arrive Tokyo

Arrive at New Tokyo International Airport (Narita Airport). Our staff will meet clients at the custom's exit and assist them in boarding airport bus. Transfer to hotel.
Accommodations at hotel in Tokyo for 3 nights.

 
Day 2 - Tokyo
Morning city tour in Tokyo. Visit Tokyo Tower Observatory, Imperial Palace Plaza, Asakusa Kannon Temple and The Tasaki Pearl. Afternoon, free at leisure.
 
Day 3 - Tokyo - Nikko - Tokyo
Full day excursion to Nikko by motor coach.
Morning, visit Toshogu Shrine and Irohazaka zigzag driveway up to the mountains
After Japanese-style lunch at local restaurant, visit Lake Chuzenji and Kegon Waterfall.
Irohazaka zigzag driveway down the mountains and drive back to Tokyo. Tour disbands on arrival at Ginza or Shinjuku.
No drop-off service provided.
 
Day 4 - Tokyo - Mt. Fuji - Hakone

Deluxe motor coach to the foot of Mt.Fuji via expressway. Then drive halfway up Japan's highest mountain to enjoy a spectacular view from a height of 2,300 meters. Lunch at Hotel Highland Resort. Afternoon, proceed to Hakone for a cruise on Lake Ashi and Mt.Komagatake Aerial Cableway. Accommodation at Hakone Hotel Kowaki-en with hot spring baths.

 
Day 5 - Hakone - Takayama
Morning, drive to Odawara and board a Shinkansen for Nagoya. Transfer to a limited-express for Takayama, an ancient, tranquil city called "Little Kyoto". Afternoon, stroll through Takayama, visiting Yatai Kaikan Hall, where colorfully decorated traditional festival floats are displayed; Kusakabe Folkcraft Museum, formerly the residence of powerful merchants under government patronage; and the streets of Kami Sannomachi, which preserve traditional Japanese wooden houses. Accommodation at Hida Hotel Plaza.
 
Day 6 - Takayama - Shirakawago - Kanazawa
Visit the famous morning market of Takayama. Scenic drive by Lake Miboro and along Shokawa River to Shirakawago, designated in 1995 as part of the World Heritage. Its highlights are unique structures called Gassho-Zukuri, or joined-hands farmhouses. Then visit Gokayama, another World Heritage village, where you can experience making Gokayama Washi, traditional Japanese paper. Continue to Kanazawa.
Accommodation at Holiday Inn Kanazawa.
 
Day 7 - Kanazawa - Kyoto
Morning sightseeing in Kanazawa, visiting Kenroku-en Garden, one of Japan's three most beautiful traditional gardens; Kutaniyaki Pottery kiln; and a stroll through the Nagamachi Samurai House district.
Afternoon, limited-express train to Kyoto.
Accommodations at hotel in Kyoto.
 
Day 8 - Kyoto
Full day sightseeing of Kyoto, visiting Golden Pavilion, Nijo Castle, Kyoto Imperial Palace.
After lunch at Handicraft Center, visiting Sanjusangendo, Heian Shrine, Kiyomizu Temple.
Accommodation at hotel in Kyoto.
 
Day 9 - Kyoto - Kansai Airport
Free at leisure until departure. (Departure time is announced to your hotel on the day before departure.) Transfer to Narita Airport by an airport bus.
